Welcome to Grade 1 Mathematics at “Strive to Learn,” where we follow the Ontario curriculum to provide a strong foundation in math skills. Our program is designed to engage students in interactive activities that align with the expectations of the Canadian curriculum. Each child receives a customized tuition plan based on parent-tutor discussions prior to the first lesson, ensuring that parents have a significant say in their child’s learning journey.
At “Strive to Learn,” our comprehensive course will help students develop key mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills according to the Ontario curriculum guidelines. Through a series of engaging lessons and activities, students will build confidence in their abilities while mastering essential math concepts.
Parents are actively involved in tailoring their child’s learning experience, choosing from a selection of lessons and activities that best suit their child’s needs and interests. Our goal is to empower students to excel in mathematics while fostering a love for learning from an early age.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate fluency with numbers 1-100.
Solve addition and subtraction problems within 20.
Understand basic concepts of measurement, geometry, and data management.
Apply mathematical skills to real-life situations.
Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
